These images are made by Joachim Schmid. He re uses images that are unwanted or lost and creates something new with them, by putting the into the context of 'art'.
I think his work is very strong and I would consider this a very modern way to present and use found imagery. The best thing about these images, I think is that we are left to create our own response to them, they're completely ambiguous.
This is definitely something I want to consider in my work, do I want people to be able to create there own ideas of the work or do I want my work to be quite obvious and tell a story..?
I've recently been sourcing images from books for my project, and I find it really interesting that I'm taking something from one place and changing the context of it.. By doing this I hope to achieve something that will be contemporary.
